If you can at all manage it, don’t miss this free series with Joan Borsyenko, Ph.D., drawn from her new work, It’s Not the End of the World: Developing Resilience in Times of Change. A cell biologist, clinical psychologist, early pioneer of psychoneuroimmunology (study of the mind body connection), former director of Harvard Medical School’s Mind Body Clinic, and self-described mystic scientist, her guiding perspective is that we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, rather we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Her first book, Minding the Body, Mending the Mind brought the benefits of yoga and meditation for stress-related illnesses onto the scientific radar. This series focuses on tools that help you to thrive during uncertainty and change.
“Resilient individuals face reality head-on, take action, find deeper meaning in life, laugh often, and are masters of improvisation,” says Joan. She will also talk with leaders in the field of mind-body wellness about resilience and overcoming stress. During times of change and uncertainty, those who are prone to stress are less likely to succeed. Don’t let stress take over your life.
I don’t mind sharing that Joan was an early mentor and guiding light in my life. You can find articles, and more about her current work and live events on her website.

I’m so glad to see that Joan is still around, working her magic! I’ve been interested in psychoneuroimmunology since it’s beginnings and she was a major factor in its going mainstream. Thanks for reminding me of her and linking to her website.
Ooops – I think you need to correct the link to her website.
